NSE/SIB K-8 does Student Government

Norman S. Edelcup Sunny Isles Beach K-8 emphasizes a rigorous academic program that fosters student achievement. But we also believe that students must be well rounded and have opportunities to grow in every arena. Many of our extra – curricular activities enable students to explore new avenues and develop new skills. One of these options is to participate in our Student Government Association and develop leadership skills. Each year the middle school students have an opportunity to campaign for offices in our Student Government Association.

The middle school students vote by closed ballot for the students they want to lead the student body. Recently, our local community leaders took time from their busy schedules to install the 2012-2013 Student Government Association officers at a special SGA Installation Breakfast hosted by the SIB PTSA. The program began with students in Ms. Rosa Rabinovich’s music classes serenading the guests with numbers on the violin and keyboard and with the chorus singing songs from the Sound of Music.
