Each year on Veterans Day, November 11, a ceremony is held to honor American Military Veterans. Residents of Sunny Isles Beach who have served in the United States Military and have completed a nomination for veterans wall application, are added to the Heritage Park History Wall (19200 Collins Avenue).
The City of Sunny Isles Beach would like to recognize our residents who have served our country by adding your name to our Memorial Wall in Heritage Park. For consideration, Veterans must fill out the application form along with providing proof of residency and copy of Honorable Discharge Certificate or DD214 Discharge Form.
Time is running out for this year’s nominations. The deadline to be added to the Memorial Wall is September 1st. Applications are available to download from the city’s website at www.sibfl.net. Click on the Resident page and find the link on the right side to open and print an application. Applicants may also pick up a hard copy of the form at the Government Center (18070 Collins Avenue) or Pelican Community Park (18115 North Bay Road).
