For the past almost 15 years, this has been a regular practice for children of all ages and from all types of programs including our K-8 school, private day care programs, religious groups, etc.
There is something special that attracts the young ones to the wonderment of K-9’s, motorcycles, beach patrol ATV’s and the flashing red and blue lights of the uniform patrol car.
During the tour, their minds are full of questions and ideas. They love receiving the junior police badge and seeing the facilities of the police department. To see their smiling faces as they see up close and personal the many tools of our trade and the officer’s equipment is worth the effort and time spent with them.
Our most recent group was from the local day care “Smart Kids” and the group that came truly enjoyed their visit to their local police department where many made new friends.
