Annual Winter Fest held at Samson Oceanfront Park

Annual Winter Fest held at Samson Oceanfront ParkOn Saturday, December 1st more than 1,000 people enjoyed an evening of winter fun, Sunny Isles Beach style. A combination of entertainment and interactive activities provided fun for all ages.

Annual Winter Fest held at Samson Oceanfront ParkThe SIB Cheerleading Academy and Peaches School of Dance showed off the many talents of the young people in our City. A DJ provided the background music and set the mood for a wonderful evening.

Following our Sunny Isles Beach holiday tradition, Mayor Norman S. Edelcup flipped the switch and the park glowed with thousands of colorful lights.

The interactive activities included: Nintendo Wii (snow sports), rides, face painting, arts and crafts, pictures with Santa, a Sand Castle 101 Class (learn to build your own sand castle) and pictures taken in front of the custom sand castle.

Annual Winter Fest held at Samson Oceanfront Park

The castle, constructed with over 10 tons of sand, was impressive and the hit of the event.
