Former Commissioner Roslyn Brezin receives a proclamation from Miami-Dade County Commissioner Sally Heyman.

On Wednesday, June 8th at 10 a.m. a dedication ceremony was held in honor of former Commissioner Roslyn Brezin. She was honored for service to the City of Sunny Isles Beach by family, friends, and professional colleagues.

Present at the dedication were Senator Gwen Margolis, Miami- Dade County Commissioner Sally Heyman, former Commissioners Irving Turetsky and Gerry Goodman and the entire current Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Mayor Norman S. Edelcup, Vice Mayor Lewis J. Thaler, Commissioner Isaac Aelion, Commissioner Jeanette Gatto, Commissioner George “Bud” Scholl.

Mayor Edelcup spoke about Roslyn’s contributions towards our City as it is today, touching on Roslyn’s special areas of interest, health, safety, Senior Citizens and education. Roslyn thanked her family and professional associates over the years and said she would be around to help in her capacity as retired Commissioner.
