United for Care Releases First :30 Second Video Spot in Support of Amendment 2

Amendment 2

[dropcap]U[/dropcap]nited for Care, the main organization advocating for passage of Amendment 2 on November’s ballot, has released its first :30 second video spot designed to bolster voter support of the measure.

Entitled “It’s Worked,” the spot highlights United for Care’s core message to Florida voters: Amendment 2 allows Florida physicians to recommend the use of medical marijuana strictly to patients with debilitating diseases and medical conditions. It reminds voters that 23 other states have already taken this step, and it has benefited patients as intended while shielding politicians from the doctor-patient relationship.

“Although opponents of Amendment 2 have attempted to muddy the waters, the issue is really quite simple,” said Ben Pollara, Campaign Manager at United for Care. “Florida physicians should have the option to recommend medical marijuana to seriously ill patients who may benefit from its use without interference from politicians. That is what our campaign is fundamentally about, and I believe the spot successfully conveys that.”

“Twenty three other states plus the District of Columbia have already done this successfully; I believe Florida voters are compassionate and they feel it’s time for us to do the same thing right here in our State,” said Pollara.

The “It’s Worked” spot will be running online throughout Florida beginning today.
