Tropical Park Equestrian Complex to host largest fitness dance party

Get out your favorite workout wear and dancing shoes and be prepared for an entertaining, energizing and calorie-burning experience at Miami’s largest free Fitness Dance Party on Saturday, July 25, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Tropical Park Equestrian Complex.

The inaugural event is part of the celebrations for Miami- Dade’s Park and Recreation Month and is being presented by the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department and the Parks Foundation of Miami- Dade, and sponsored by Baptist Health South Florida.

Residents of all ages and skill levels will find it easy to move their feet to the beat with energetic dance rhythms set by music-spinning deejays and easy-to-follow dance exercises led by professional Zumba instructors. Hundreds are expected to descend on the complex for a morning of exhilarating fun. Admission and parking are free.

Traditionally a site for world-class equestrian events, the shade-covered complex features more than 150,000 square feet of floor space and overhead fans, providing event-goers with plenty of room and cooling breezes while they make their heart-healthy dance moves.

This special recreation opportunity is an example of Miami-Dade Parks’ ongoing endeavors to promote the many ways to stay physically fit for the improved health and wellbeing of the entire community.

The Tropical Park Equestrian Center is located at 7900 SW 40 St. (Bird Road). For directions visit the Tropical Park Web page or call 305-226-8316.
