Several dozen area residents and city officials recently held a ceremony, right outside the Tompkins family home,and honored the life of Johnnie Bell Mozell Tompkins. With smiles on their faces, the family accepted the street sign, naming SW 64 Ave. as J.B. Mozell Tompkins Ave.
