On Wednesday, June 1, Perfect Balance Martial Arts and Fitness, along with artist Alex Yanes, will help kick off South Miami’s first-ever public art event – South Miami Manatee Fest. Unveiling a large Asian-influenced seven-foot manatee sculpture painted by the talented artist, Perfect Balance Martial Arts and Fitness will be one of the many companies and organizations to participate in this historic public art event, taking place on the streets of the quaint village of South Miami.
Local dignitaries and South Miami residents are expected to attend. Among the attendees will be the honorable Mayor of South Miami Philip Stoddard, who will be presenting a speech and Heather Bettner, president of Prince Media Development and producer of the South Miami Manatee Fest.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet Alex Yanes, while also enjoying music, wine hors devours and martial arts demonstrations. Alex’s most recent works of art will be displayed throughout the studio for guests to view.
