The City of South Miami is pleased to announce that Detective Lisa King has won the prestigious L.E.O. Investigative Services Division Award (Category 1) for 2014. This award was presented on March 7, 2015 at Jungle Island, by the L.E.O. Foundation and The Miami- Dade County Association of Chiefs of Police, during their fifthteenth annual L.E.O. awards gala.

Detective King has distinguished herself with her professionalism, dedication and “out of the box” investigative skills which led to numerous high profile arrests and the recovery of over $100,000 in stolen property.

Her tenacious style and efforts helped so many retail stores and victims become whole again with the recovery of their priceless inventory and property.

We applaud her outstanding achievement and congratulate her for her commitment to law enforcement.
