The Pinecrest Youth Advisory Council is now accepting applications for membership on the 2014-15 panel.
The Youth Advisory Council is made up of students ranging from sixth to 12th grade and is active in varied and numerous projects throughout the year. Last year’s activities included creating a float for the Junior Orange Bowl Parade, raising money as a team during Pinecrest’s Relay for Life and participating in the Earth Day Festival, Taste of Pinecrest and Bike Ride Day.
Each month, students learn how the Village of Pinecrest government operates and there are presentations from representatives of each municipal department, including parks, police and the manager’s office.
