Wonder what your heirlooms, collectibles and yard sale bargains are worth? You can learn if they have value or are just sentimentally priceless when nationally regarded appraiser Gary Piattoni appears at East Ridge at Cutler Bay on Wed., Feb. 5 for two appraisal shows at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Piattoni has more than 20 years of appraisal experience in fine arts and antiques. He has made many appearances on the PBS Television reality series Antique Road Show, now in its 18th season, as well as guest appearances on ABC’s Oprah Winfrey Show and NBC’s Maury Povich Show.
A former specialist with Christie’s auction house of New York, Piattoni has contributed to numerous magazine articles in publications such as New York Magazine, Town & Country, Chicago Magazine and Design Times and he holds a certificate in appraisal studies from New York University.
The two shows at East Ridge Cutler Bay, 19301 SW 87 Ave., are free and open to the public, with reserved seating. Attendees who want to have an item appraised must register in advance by contacting East Ridge officials. Firearms, jewelry, stamps and coins cannot be appraised.
