Get ready for the Taste of Pinecrest April 6 at the Gardens

1atopThe 12th annual Taste of Pinecrest community festival of food, music and family fun once again will take place at Pinecrest Gardens, this year on April 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Hosted by the Pinecrest Business Association, the Taste will feature food from area restaurants and caterers, from BBQ to pasta, sandwiches to salads, appetizers to deserts and all goodies in between. There will be a culinary corner with cooking demonstrations throughout the day to provide unique opportunities to learn from local chefs and taste their creations.

The Taste of Pinecrest title Sponsor Diamond level this year is the Pinecrest law firm Panter, Panter & Sampedro, a long-time supporter of the event. Other sponsors include Lexus of Kendall, Williamson Cadillac, Baptist Health, Jackson South Community Hospital, The Parenting Plan and Morris & Reynolds Insurance.

This year’s theme is No Place For Hate. Groups from each of the five area schools will present performances on the theme and there will be live entertainment, rides and a host of fun-filled family activities, including family interactive yoga demonstrations presented by Corpo Yoga Studio and hands-on art activities presented by ArtSouth. Pinecrest Gardens will be open for all to enjoy, including the petting zoo, playground and splash pool.

The Taste of Pinecrest provides an opportunity for the resodents to engage local businesses, enjoy local foods and celebrate being a part of the community. Many businesses from the PBA will be showcased. Admission is $5 with one child admitted free with each paying adult. Parking is free. All net proceeds go to local schools: Howard Drive, Palmetto and Pinecrest elementary schools, Palmetto Middle and Palmetto High School.
