Mother of our Redeemer School is always doing drives or projects to benefit the needs of others. The purpose of these projects occurring throughout the entire school year is to instill awareness and create responsibility from a young age throughout our school community. It is most impressive when a drive is taking place in school how the students from Pre-K, age 3, through 8th grade are so proud of their participation.

This Advent season, Mother of Our Redeemer Catholic School students began a sweater drive for the homeless in South Florida. More than 300 gently worn or new sweaters were collected during the drive, which ended this week. This project hopes to benefit many homeless throughout South Florida, as the weather forecast is expected to be a very cold winter.

In the past, the school has held other drives, including:

• School supplies drive for an orphanage and needy students in town of Honduras. Initially, when this endeavor was taken the school could assist a couple of hundred students. We currently assist almost 1000 students.

• Used uniform drive and backpacks in good conditions.

• Food drive for the pantry of Mother of our Redeemer Church.

• Pet supplies drive for local ASPCA.

• Toiletry drives for the homeless of South Florida.

• Sock drive for local Senior resident centers

• Baby items for local shelters

Mother of Our Redeemer Catholic School students work in areas of need and for a variety of populations which help foster student development by looking at the current needs of others.
