Community Involved Employee Recognition Program

Perhaps you have experienced outstanding service from an employee while visiting one of the City of Miami Gardens Parks and Recreation facilities. Maybe your contact with a Park employee gave you the information you were looking for with dynamic professionalism and customer service. Possibly, you frequent our parks and can always depend on that one Park employee to greet you with the warmest hello and friendliest service. If so, we have made it easier for you to let others know how you appreciate and acknowledge the hard work of a Park employee with our COMMUNITY STARS PROGRAM.

The Community Stars Program gives you the ability to nominate a Park employee for a job well-done. That “pat on the back” can now be a more formal acknowledgement. When you are visiting a park or browsing our website take the time to complete and return the Community Stars nomination form. There are five categories to choose from when nominating employees or if you feel another category would be more appropriate for your nomination, feel free and write it in. We would like to know which employee, based on your experience at one of our Parks or in our office that are going the extra mile and making the extra effort.

All employees who have been selected as a Community Star will be recognized throughout our Parks and City websites for the following month. We need your help! We want to know what you think! Our residents are extremely important to us and your voice matters. So take a moment and complete a Community Stars Nomination Form when you spot an employee doing an awesome job.

The purpose of the Community Stars Recognition Program is to:
Provide management tools to recognize ongoing employee dedication, a means to reinforce and acknowledge significant contributions, and retain employee commitment and morale.

Educate Miami Gardens Residents about the significant contributions Parks and Recreation employees make to the quality of their lives.

Improve morale and provide employees with a greater sense of purpose and engagement.
