Wearable Art and Luxury Costuming Collection art inspires fashion

Paradox Designs is pleased to introduce its latest foray into the art and fashion industry, a Wearable Art and Luxury Costuming Collection for artists, collectors and festival goers. This new venture is the brainchild of owner and sole proprietor of Paradox Designs, Bridgette Morphew. As an avid collector of wearable art and a known fixture at many art and music festivals she saw the need for something new in fashion, and special event costuming. The vision of this project is a platform for artists to showcase their wearable art. The line will include art pieces commissioned especially for this new collection, as well as pieces that have been handpicked because of their rarity and artistry. Artists that have produced artwear to Madonna, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and many other celebrities will be creating a capsule collection for this new Paradox Designs Wearable Art Collective.

This concept belongs to Bridgette Morphew, who started Paradox Designs eight years ago, inspired by her love of amazing details from fashion history that are sometimes forgotten. She opened the doors of Paradox Designs, the leading vintage design studio in New York City, with one goal: to “inspire fashion,” as she herself put it. After building a network of the best designers in New York, she has expanded to Paris, London, Milan, Sydney and every other fashion capital with a team of experts and buyers shopping year-round to source the most unique vintage items from every fashion era.

With the intention of bringing the wearable fashion world into the world of art, this new collection will be showcased at a pre-launch party this December in Miami during Art Basel, in conjunction with many high profile events during the week. Sure to be a unique shopping and gallery experience, this exhibit will have incredible artworks of Adam Pollina, Dina Knapp, Erik Halley, Kate Raudenbush, Azusa Dannohara, Londa Bead, Cedric Claquieze, Masha Pekurovsky, and others. This new endeavor is sure to reap success, with the power of a worldwide team of buyers, stylists, and agents behind it. This collection will be the new direction for the studio – that of innovative, one of a kind wearable art that mixes the techniques and structure of fashion with the abstract beauty of art.
