Rene Ruiz Confirmed as Final Panelist for Champions of Business Luncheon

Rene Ruiz Confirmed as Final Panelist for Champions of Business LuncheonCuban fashion designer Rene Ruiz is confirmed as the final panelist for the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s 9th Annual “Champions of Business” luncheon occurring on Friday, August 28. Organized by the Chamber’s Emerging Leadership Council and sponsored by City National Bank, the purpose of the event is to educate business professionals on successful business development. Previously announced panelists include: Miami Beach film director Billy Corben; CEO of Goldman Properties Jessica Goldman and Owner of Naked Taco/Celebrity Chef Ralph Pagano. The moderator will be Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing, Communications and Community Relations at City National Bank, Eddie Dominguez.

“I’m looking forward to hearing each of the panelists,” said Chamber Executive Board Member and Co-Chair of the ELC Joshua Levy. “The purpose of the ELC is to prepare Chamber leaders for the next step of their professional career and listening to these professionals is just one tool for them to achieve that. We also hope this event will encourage people to join this council and enrich their careers.”

Born in Cuba, Rene Ruiz immigrated to Miami at an early age. After opening his first atelier in the fashionable South Florida enclave of Coral Gables in the 90s, Ruiz quickly became the go-to designer for celebrities and socialites. The Rene Ruiz collection is available at the Coral Gables showroom and at exclusive specialty stores nationwide, in Canada, Europe and the Middle East.

“We are excited to add this noted fashion designer to the all-star roster of panelists that we currently have,” said Chamber Executive Board Member and Co-Chair of the ELC Richard Segal. “Even if your profession doesn’t fall into the industries that these panelists represent, you still leave with nuggets of knowledge and insight that you can apply to your everyday work life.”

FIU’s Business School will be the partial valet sponsor at the event. Junior sponsors include Mango’s Tropical Café and Jackson Health Systems.

This traditionally sold-out event, held at the beautiful St. Regis – Bal Harbour, will host over 200 business professionals to witness and interact in a discussion between local success stories.
