From the birth of a child to an unexpected traumatic accident, Mount Sinai is there to serve and meet each patient’s health care needs, as a committed community partner and as a world-class health care provider.
Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation is reaching out to the community to generate support for the hospital and its mission through its second annual Share Campaign. This exciting initiative enables donors to make philanthropic contributions to the medical center online and via their cell phone.
Last year’s campaign raised more than $115,000. The Share Campaign’s online component gives participants the tools to inspire family, friends and business associates to support one of the following Centers of Excellence at Mount Sinai: charity care, cardiac care, cancer care and the neonatal intensive care unit.
Share Campaign participants raise funds by setting up their own campaign page on the Foundation’s website and e-mailing family and friends to request a donation. They often are motivated by a personal health care experience, whether it’s theirs or a loved one’s, or they simply believe in the hospital’s mission and want to make a contribution to one of the causes the campaign supports.
The Share Campaign also includes a texting component that will give the public an opportunity to make a $10 contribution to the medical center via their cell phone. Donors simply text the word SHARE to 27722 and a $10 contribution will be added to their cell phone bill.
