Many travelers to South Beach wouldn’t expect a quaint bed and breakfast to exist in the center of town. However, on 10th and Jefferson exists a beautiful art deco abode tucked away in the heart of South Beach, which is close to everything but away from it all, called Sobe You. In 1993 the property became the first official historic art deco bed and breakfast in Miami Beach better known as the “Jefferson House”
A Certificate of Excellence winner, Sobe You prides itself on its premiere one-on-one service, which includes VIP guest services, VIP guest packages and its exclusive gourmet personalized breakfast served poolside. Now owned by entrepreneurs Ricardo Gamboa and Thomas Hill, and managed by Dennisse Malky, the guest suites have been redecorated but still keep its original feel.
Sobe You was built in the art deco era as the home of prominent builder William Wigen, who was famous for designing several Star Island and Miami Beach homes as well as hotels. The Guest Carriage House, in the back property was designed by famous architect Albert Anis. Some of Anis’ creations include The Abbey Hotel, The Waldorf Towers, The Temple Emanuel, Leslie Hotel, Viscaya Hotel and Winterhaven Hotel, among others.
For decades this historic b & b has seen hundreds of thousands of guests from all over the world making it the #1 accommodation in South beach for those looking for exclusive privacy, VIP service and a quaint atmosphere.
The bed and breakfast is located at 1018 Jefferson Ave and for information, visit www.sobeyou.us.
