Letter from the Chair
Michael Goldberg

It is officially Gala season at the Chamber, which is the most exciting time of year! On Saturday, May 9, the Chamber celebrates its 93rd Annual Dinner Gala and Silent Auction taking place at one of my favorite venues – the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Over 1,200 guests will join together as the Chamber honors five distinguished leaders of the community while celebrating another successful year. The event will also raise money for the Chamber’s 501(c)3 Education Foundation.

THIS YEAR’S CELEBRATED HONOREES ARE:
• Rabbi Gary Glickstein, spiritual leader of Temple Beth Sholom, receiving the Jan Pfeiffer Distinguished Service Award
• Alan and Diane Lieberman, owners of South Beach Group (SBG) and SBI Realty, receiving the Excellence in Tourism Award
• Stanley Tate, visionary behind the Stanley G. Tate Florida Prepaid College Program, will receive the Leonard A. “Doc” Baker Lifetime Achievement award
• Bernie Yuman, Entertainment Entrepreneur and graduate of Miami Beach Senior High, receiving the City National Bank Hi-Tides Outstanding Achievement

I would like to thank our Gala committee and its co-chairs Robin Jacobs and Sherry Kaplan Roberts who are knee deep in the planning process and have made it as seamless as possible.

We are pleased to use BidPal, an interactive wireless automated silent auction bidding process to help feature over 200 silent auction items before and during the evening of the event, for a second year in a row. The service is exciting because anyone can bid from the convenience of their smart phone.

To purchase an individual ticket, for sponsorship opportunities and/or for more information on the Gala, please feel free to contact the Miami Beach Chamber at 305-674-1300 for more information.

Hope to see you at the Fontainebleau!

Michael S. Goldberg
