The spring is always a busy but exciting time of year on Miami Beach and I wanted to take a moment and highlight some important events that should be on your radar.
On Friday, February 28th, the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce hosts its Golf Classic at the Miami Beach Golf Course. Even though the tournament is sold out, there are still opportunities available for your business to get involved and become a sponsor of this fun and one-of-a-kind event. We generate over $10,000 to raise funds for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, which benefits Miami Beach Senior High School. As a graduate of Beach High and a Hi-Tide, I’m proud to be involved with this program that helps develop the intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills of students living in this rapidly globalizing world.
On another note, nominations are still being accepted for the City National Bank Better Beach Awards. Through February 28th, individuals can submit Better Beach nominations for members of the real estate community in Miami Beach. The winners for each category will be announced on Thursday, March 27th at the Loew’s Hotel at the Better Beach Awards ceremony hosted by CBS anchor Walter Makaul.

Lastly, I’m excited to announce the introduction of our newly formed legal council, which will be Co- Chaired by Bart Chepenik of Chepenik/Trushin LLP and David Sacks of Pathman/Lewis LLP. The 1st meeting is tentatively scheduled for March 25th in the Chamber boardroom with more information to follow in early March.
