Douglas Elliman teams up with Neighbors 4 Neighbors this holiday season

The luxury real estate brokerage kicks-off season of giving through a month-long toy and gift card drive benefiting Neighbors 4 Neighbors’ partner YMCA

Douglas Elliman, a premier luxury real estate brokerage, is pleased to announce its partnership with CBS4’s Neighbors 4 Neighbors, a non-profit dedicated to connecting people in need with people that can help. Together they spread holiday cheer with the launch of a toy and gift card drive, aptly named “Operation Elf,” to benefit the YMCA throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

The toy and gift card drive runs November 28 through December 28, 2012. Douglas Elliman is encouraging its base of 300 agents, executive management, vendors, clients and the public to participate by donating new, unwrapped toys for children ages 10 and under, as well as gift cards.

Gift cards are strongly encouraged, as they not only allow children to pick a gift that is meaningful to them, but they’re practical too. No matter the time of year, families in need really are in need of everything and gift cards allow them to purchase basic items often taken for granted, like toothpaste, deodorant, diapers, even toilet paper. Gift cards to local supermarkets, pharmacies, convenience stores, bookstores and retail stores are a great way to help families in need.
