Becker & Poliakoff is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Adam Kravitz to the firm’s Corporate Law Practice Group in the Miami office. Mr. Kravitz has more than 20 years of legal experience in international corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and securities law. Additionally, he has a unique entrepreneurial background, with experience in providing business and legal counsel to several notable start-ups.

From 1999 through 2005, Mr. Kravitz served as a founding director and general counsel of Spark Networks, which runs leading online dating websites, including JDate.com and ChristianMingle.com. At Spark Networks, he was responsible for all legal affairs, as well as administrative and strategic responsibility for its international offices.

Prior to Spark Networks, Mr. Kravitz was an attorney with the London office of Zellermayer Pelosoff, one of Israel’s bestknown law firms where he acted as lead counsel in several IPOs in London and Frankfurt and represented clients in diverse international transactions.

Mr. Kravitz also served as CEO of eVoter, Inc., a voter information website that he co-founded in 2009. The site attracted over 1.2 million voters in six states and forged strategic partnerships with Yahoo! and NBC Local Media.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Kravitz was General Counsel of The Appletree Companies, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed food manufacturer and distributor based in Boca Raton.

A resident of Miami Beach, Mr. Kravitz was appointed to the Community Relations Board for the City of Miami Beach and is President of the Alton Road Homeowners and Residents Association. He is also on the Board of the Florida Association for Insurance Reform.

Mr. Kravitz received his J.D. Degree from the University of Houston and B.A. from Montreal’s McGill University. He also received an M.S. Degree in History from the London School of Economics.

He is licensed as an attorney in the U.S. and Great Britain (solicitor).
