The South Florida After-School All-Stars and Fox Sports/SunSports cohorted to mark a most indelible day for kids and families across South Florida. From originally hosting one summer camp for 48 kids in 1997, SFASAS has proliferated into a full service after-school program in 32 middle school locations serving in excess of 4,000 middle school students each day.

Superfest represents SFASAS’s resolve to provide character-building opportunities for our local children, evolving from a family gathering held five years ago into an unprecedented festive playground embodying physical fitness, family involvement and education all wrapped up in one mammoth holiday prize.

Superfest 2012 trumped a size capacity of over 1800 young adults who participated in five different tournaments including co-ed basketball, soccer and flag football. Additionally, activities such as music performances, dance contests, baseball clinics, bounce houses, tug-o war and foot sack races captivated the souls of the participants into an aura of fun and joy. Illustrious appearances and extraordinary support from SONY signed female group Spicalicious, renowned actress and kids advocate, Jo Marie Payton, known for her roles in Family Matters, Perfect Strangers, The Proud Family and Will & Grace, LA Fitness, MetroPCS, Zico, among others collectively amplified the Super in Superfest.

The South Florida After- School All -Stars offers programs, which are both diverting and educational for kids, keeping them safe and helping them, achieve success in school and life. The programs concentrate on three pillars: academics, enrichment, and physical fitness as a preemptive measure against obesity and other proliferating social ills. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger founded the Inner City Games foundation in Los Angeles California in 1992. Subsequently, in 1995, it was renamed South Florida After- School All-Stars, on a steadfast mission to better impact the lives of inner city students. To date, the SFASAS is the largest national organization specifically focused on serving middle school age students.
