As a Periodontist, we have a generalized outlook on vast conditions of dentistry ranging from bad breath to disease. Problems in your mouth are many times inter-connected with the rest of your body.

Periodontist may be a foreign specialty in your dental experiences. When quizzically asked ‘What is a Periodontist?’ the answer, “A Gum Gardner” albeit sounding silly, is quite encompassing in definition – We deal in restoring oral health with eliminating gum disease, regenerating damaged bone, saving compromised teeth (with various procedures), improving smiles with oral plastic surgery, esthetic treatment and addressing TMJ (jaw) muscular pain.

Dental implants are such a wonderful approach to restoring confidence to a patient who already has missing teeth due to an accident, fractured/broken, congenitally missing or cannot be restored because of disease.

The benefits of dental implants as opposed to dentures are numerous: Elimination of loose fitting or ill fitting dentures when eating; no more soaking the appliance or application of adhesives; gum irritation or mouth pain is no longer a concern. You can laugh, talk and smile without worrying! Future articles will go more into detail as well as answer any questions you may have on this subject.
