The Annual Winter Wonderland Extravaganza at Kendall Regional Medical Center was attended by more than 5,000, as the hospital welcomed the children and families of the community to this holiday festivity.

Children had an opportunity to play in the snow, write letters to Santa, make holiday crafts and have their photo taken with Santa (while telling him what they wanted for Christmas). Also, everyone had the opportunity to enjoy holiday musical entertainment by seven different local schools. Hot chocolate with marsh mellows and Christmas cookies were served to the delight of all.

“We are proud to continue offering these community events for the children and their families that we serve as a hospital,” said Peter Jude, director of Marketing and Public Relations for the hospital.

The hospital will be offering another community event in February, as it hosts the second annual Children’s Valentine’s Day Healthy Heart Celebration.
