Miami-Dade Police Det. Karin Bobe, pictured with her son, Logan Castellano, receives August Officer of the Month honors for the Hammocks District from Citizens Advisory Committee chair James Blough and Capt. Miguel Hernandez after her persistence paid off during an extensive investigation into robberies at the Bent Tree community. From March to June, Det. Bobe matched robbery details and a latent fingerprint from one incident to begin surveillance of a suspect’s home, leading to his arrest and confession to a dozen area robberies plus recovery of several articles of stolen property.
