Christopher Carothers (left) and Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) chair Barry White during the Dec. 10 CAC meeting. On patrol in the Dadeland area during early morning hours on Oct. 11, Fernandez responded to a burglar alarm at the Horizons store, 7409 Kendall Dr. After spotting a bike-riding male who fled without responding to his order, Fernandez corralled the suspect along SW 90th Street near Dadeland Boulevard. All the stolen property was returned to the store after Officer Fernandez noted a white residue on the suspect’s shoes that later matched an imprint at the store premises.
