Farm Share Joins Forces with State Representative Cynthia A. Stafford (D-109), Commissioner Keon Hardemon (City of Miami) along with the City of Miami, FL, to Feed People in Need

Miami, FL. –Farm Share is partnering with State Representative Cynthia A. Stafford (D-109), Commissioner Keon Hardemon (City of Miami) to sponsor a food distribution on Saturday, January 17th, 10:00 to 1:00 PM, at the Charles Hadley Park located at 1350 NW 50 Street, Miami, FL 33147.

Families in need will be provided fresh Farm Share food bags free of charge. Each household will receive a variety of fresh produce that is in season, along with meat and canned goods.

Last year, Farm Share provided more than $40 million in food to over one million Florida families. Most of the food is distributed through a community network of church food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, senior centers, and veterans groups.

Farm Share is the largest fresh produce program in Florida and the only statewide food bank program that does not charge a fee for any food it provides to community organizations. In fact, Farm Share is one of the largest food recovery operations in the nation.
