Residents in Miami-Dade County Commission District 10 now will have a safe bike path and pedestrian bridge on SW 47th Terrace between 107th and 112th avenues, thanks to Commissioner Javier D. Souto and the Miami-Dade Public Works and Waste Management Department.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the bike path and the pedestrian bridge took place on Saturday, Mar. 16, in the Westwood Lakes Neighborhood.

“I am a believer of a safe community and healthy living, that is why I have partnered with the Miami-Dade Public Works and Waste Management Department to build this bridge and provide a safer path for the residents of this community,” Commissioner Souto said.

  1. I wish they'd start doing this in South Africa. Facilities are pretty shocking when it comes to getting around without your own vehicle.
