Congressman Joe Garcia states “Education and training is so imperative to the future success of our young people.”

Congressman Garcia spoke with Kenisha Davis, a trainee from the HJCC Security Trade. Kenisha described the numerous community service opportunities she has participated in while training as a Security Officer at Homestead Job Corps Center. Giving back is one of the many benefits the students receive along with their education. Congressman Garcia stated “it’s a privilege to meet these fine, young people who will, as a result of their Job Corps experience, go back to their hometown communities a more confident, better educated and well-trained individual.”
Congressman Joe Garcia toured the U.S. Dept. of Labor’s Homestead Job Corps Center (HJCC) on July 2, 2013. He spoke with students pursuing their education and obtaining career technical training in a variety of fields. Homestead Job Corps Center is one of 125 Job Corps Centers nationwide administered by the U.S. Dept. of Labor.
