Landscaping Project in District 10

Commissioner Souto would like to announce the following landscaping projects inside district 10, which will be completed in the month of July:

- Replacement of missing or dead trees on Coral Way between the Palmetto and Turnpike
- Replacement of missing or dead trees on SW 117 Avenue
- Replacement of missing or dead trees on SW 87 Avenue

We would also like to announce that the Florida Department of Transportation will be working with our County Public Works Department to provide a landscape buffer along the Palmetto (SR 826) wall on SW 77 Avenue between SW 8 Street and SW 24 Street The trees that will be planted are Jamaican Capers and the Silver Buttonwoods.

The Florida Department of Transportation will also be landscaping the median and swale areas in front of Tropical Park on Bird Road with a combination of shrubs and low growing plants, which include Dwarf Bougainvillea, Variegated Flax Lily, Burle Marx, and Green Island Ficus.
