The HJCC CRC has representatives from federal, state and local government, the military, community organizations and several key employers as well as several active members of the community at large. The purpose is to optimize the service provided to the students at Homestead Job Corps Center.
Over the past few years the CRC has focused on goals set by the National Job Corps Association (NJCA). Past Executive Board (Jesika Davis, Meda Jensen and Sharon Singletary) and our Council members helped us reach these goals and attain the top “Gold Star” achievement award from the NJCA.
The HJCC CRC focuses on government relations and appreciation, outreach into the community, volunteering and sharing resources as well as recognizing our students and Center in the media and at meetings on our Center and in the community. The HJCC CRC also concentrates on preparing students for the workplace and on helping our students get placed in jobs, the military and/or higher education.
