Mount Sinai’s Vascular Center helps patients get back on their feet
Dr. Robert Beasley directs Mount Sinai’s Vascular Center and has successfully saved the limbs of many patients with vascular disease.

The Mount Sinai Vascular Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive, current and interdisciplinary care for vascular conditions. Part of the Mount Sinai Heart Institute, the center is under the direction of Dr. Robert Beasley, and utilizes the latest technology to offer innovative solutions to patients with vascular disease. A major emphasis is coordinating the efforts of multiple specialists who provide different aspects of care for a seamless, integrated treatment approach. The center’s clinical services encompass all elements of vascular care, including diagnostic evaluations and medical management, non-invasive testing, and surgical care.

Vascular disease refers to any condition in which fatty deposits in the blood stick to blood vessel walls and restrict blood flow. Over time, the heart has to work harder to pump blood through the body, increasing the risk for heart attack and stroke. Poor circulation also impairs the body’s natural ability to heal, especially in the hands and feet of patients with uncontrolled diabetes. Small cuts can quickly develop into ulcers or wounds which, left untreated, can lead to infection or even amputation. Mount Sinai’s goal is to deliver exceptional, compassionate care that improves clinical outcomes and quality of life for individuals with vascular disease.

The Mount Sinai Vascular Center provides state-of-theart treatments for patients with diabetic ulcers, peripheral artery disease, varicose veins, arterial and venous insufficiency and other vascular related conditions.
