The show is the Southeast’s largest home improvement and design event, produced by forty-year veteran show producers Larry Perl and Steve Plotkin. The event showcases thousands of products and services for residential decorating, remodeling and home improvement. Hundreds of businesses from around the country and internationally will be exhibiting in this interactive marketplace.
The Home Show enables businesses in the industry to interact with consumers while showcasing their products and services onsite. Attendees can shop, compare products, get advice and buy at special show pricing. This year’s celebrity guest speaker is Stephen Fanuka, host of DIY Network’s “Million Dollar Contractor.” Home Show Management Corp specializes in quality home shows specific to South Florida and the unique needs of the South Florida market.

The Brain Fair is a free educational event sponsored by the University of Miami at the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science. The Brain Fair is designed to teach children and their parents about the brain and nervous systems. Kids of all ages can learn about gender brain differences, how the senses interact with the brain, how to keep the brain and spinal cord safe and even dissect a sheep brain to learn the mechanics behind the brain.

The Motion for the Ocean is a fundraiser and community-building event organized and hosted by NSU’s Oceanographic Center Student Government Association (SGA) and student volunteers. The cost for participation in the race is $20 for early registration or $25 the day of the event.
All proceeds from the Motion for the Ocean 5k Run/Walk entry fees will be donated to AMIkids, a nationally recognized non-profit organization that works with at risk youth, giving them an opportunity to transform into responsible young adults. They offer kids a promising future through positive and motivating programs that inspire learning, leadership and personal growth. Additional donations can be made through NSU’s Oceanographic Center SGA.
Participants will enjoy the gorgeous backdrop of John U. Lloyd State Park, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean and each runner will receive a t-shirt to commemorate their achievement. Food and drinks will be provided at the end of the race and a small award ceremony will be held to recognize the top runners.
