Hemophilia ranks as one of the most expensive chronic disorders in the United States. The Swing for the Kids Golf Tournament raises funds to support the educational programs and vital services provided to the bleeding disorders community by the Florida Hemophilia Association.
The Florida Hemophilia Association is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders in the state of Florida.
The American Heart Association’s Greater Miami/Fort Lauderdale office will join forces with Cleveland Clinic Florida to encourage the community to make healthy eating choices by kicking off a series of cooking classes beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, which has been designated as National Eating Healthy Day.
Participants who attend classes at the Weston campus will have the opportunity to taste samples prepared by Cleveland Clinic Florida’s executive chef.

On Thursday, December 12th, 2013 the Miami Taste of Brickell Food and Wine Festival will celebrate a pre-party kick-off at Mary Brickell Village featuring delectable food, wine and liquor samples, as well as a Brickell-themed runway fashion show (starting at 8pm).
Held on the first floor of Mary Brickell Village, the event will bring together some of Brickell’s finest and emerging restaurants. Guest’s will be treated to a tasting of fine wines and spirits. Also, non-alcoholic beverages from Fiji Water and other beverage sponsors will be on hand. Also, enjoy a relaxing chair massage while at the event courtesy of Massage Envy Spa Brickell.
In true Brickell style, the Taste of Brickell Pre-Party also combines high fashion with “wild” guests. The evening will feature a runway fashion show courtesy of several of Mary Brickell Village’s chic boutiques and shops. In addition a raffel will be on site with lots of great items from local businesses.

The 2014 Miami Taste of Brickell Food and Wine Festival will be held on March 29 and 30, 2014 in the heart of and will feature cuisine from over 20 local restaurants, an exclusive VIP experience. Tickets are on sale January 2014.
