On Saturday, April 13 at 10 a.m., community leaders, residents and donors will come together to officially open the new South Dade YMCA Family Center, located at 9355 Southwest 134 Street, Miami, FL 33176. The ceremony will be followed by a community open house free to the public from 11-2PM.

The 11th Annual Taste of Pinecrest will be held at the new South Dade YMCA Family Center, located at 9355 Southwest 134 Street, Miami, FL 33176 on Sunday, April 7 at 11 a.m. Successfully produced for 10 years by the Pinecrest Business Association (PBA), the Taste of Pinecrest has generated more than $250,000 in donations to Pinecrest’s local schools. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with the first ever partnership between the PBA and the YMCA of Greater Miami.
As the first community event being hosted at the new South Dade YMCA Family Center, guests will have the opportunity to experience the new Family Center as well as spend the day with celebrity chefs, who will be hosting cooking demonstrations, presenting healthy cooking tips and food preparation techniques. Take your taste buds on a tour of what Pinecrest has to offer by sampling the local fare and enjoying South Florida’s finest food trucks. Bring your entire family to enjoy a full carnival, activities and interactive art installation for kids, the main stage with local bands and student performances as well as a complete wellness and business expo.

The Miami Dance Festival, Miami Momentum Dance Company’s largest endeavor of the year, will be celebrating 10 Seasons of Dance, April 5-May 15. From the Entertainment Capital of the World, Los Angeles, CA., Luminario Ballet is a Contemporary Ballet company also presenting classic modern dance repertory and aerial dance. The dancers live in L.A., but come from everywhere, representing the region’s diversity and excitement. Guest choreographers range from classically inspired works by San Francisco Ballet’s Micheal Smuin and Polish Ballet Maestro Stefan Wenta, to edgy contemporary choreographers Josie Walsh and Jamal Story. Visit 3C’s Preschool with your children! Our OPEN HOUSE will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 @ 6:30pm. Learn about our new Kindergarten Program. Teachers welcome families in their classrooms and you can observe the work of our students. Also, bring any questions you might have to the Fellowship Hall where the Director will give parents a better understanding of the programs and activities offered at 3C's Preschool.
