Opportunity for adult learners from the Kendall/Cutler Bay area to meet the Barry University Kendall team to discuss degree options (both Bachelor’s and Master’s), credit for professional work experience, licenses, certifications, and military service towards undergraduate degrees. Barry team members will also be available to discuss grants and loan programs available to adult learners returning to school, as well as military benefits.

The Miami Coral Park Senior High School Class of 1983, 30 Year Class Reunion has finally been scheduled.The Reunion Event will take place, Saturday, October, 19, 2013, at the 94th Aero Squadron located at 1395 NW 57th Avenue, Miami, FL. The event will begin at 8:00 pm and will begin promptly with a mixer cocktail hour. We will then move into the main ballroom for a buffet style dinner, continued open bar and the cool sounds of Dee Jay Jose who will be playing a combination old school and current dance mixes. We, the Reunion Committee Team, are very excited about this event and are genuinely looking forward to catching up with old friends. We’ve put our hearts into making this event a success but really need your help in reaching out to alumni who may not be Facebook or Internet savvy in an effort to get the word out and recruit participation at our event.
Come join Kendall resident Elizabeth Romero as she talks about the first installment of her new mystery/thriller series. The book, MEANS TO AN END, introduces readers to her main character, Monique Moreaux, who transformed herself from a victim—the downtrodden, timid Ashby Devereaux—into a strong, confident, and brilliant woman sought out by detectives for her keen insight into crimes against the vulnerable. Elizabeth will also be signing copies of the book.
Fall Harvest Festival featuring the retailers of Snapper Creek Shopping Center. Fun for everyone including live music, games and tons of prizes, popcorn and cotton candy, bounce house, rock climbing wall and children’s obstacle course. There will also be a pumpkin patch, so stop by to buy your Halloween pumpkin! Retailers will be giving away free food and service samples.
