Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the publication of Pride and Prejudice NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library and the Jane Austen Society of North America hosts: An Afternoon with Jane Austen.
Nova Southeastern University’s Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences invites the community to join in celebrating the season with a concert of holiday favorites and music from around the world. The concert will feature performances by the Bossa Nova Chorale, singing songs of peace in eight different languages—such as Hebrew, Latin, French, and Swahili—as well as choral music spanning from the 14th Century through contemporary hits, including well-known Christmas songs and pieces celebrating Hanukkah.

Nova Southeastern University will host Managing Cognitive Decline in the Chronically Ill: An Inter-Professional Approach. This seminar examines how legal, medical, and psychological professionals can assist their clients and patients who suffer from chronic illnesses and as a result, have needs that involve multiple professionals. The Florida Bar has approved 5.0 hours of CLE credits for this seminar, including 2.5 hours Elder Law Certification and 1.0 hour for mental illness awareness.

NSU’s Annual Shark Shuffle 5K Run and Walk returns. The Shark Shuffle is designed to promote health and wellness among NSU and the community, regardless of your level of ability. Everyone is invited to participate. Anzora’s Foundation is a newly formed nonprofit organization and our mission is “Striving to Build Strong Foundations” in the community. Our event, “HE LOVES ME” is a Father/Daughter Banquet which will be held at the Signature Grand in Davie, Florida on September 14, 2013. The mission of this event is to create an intimate night for Fathers and Daughters in the community as well as educate them on the increasing epidemic of Human Trafficking.
