Enjoy a fun-filled family day with a BBQ lunch, bounce house, rock climbing, face painting, snow cones, cotton candy, and much more on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Roscoe Warren Park, pavilion #4, in Homestead from 12pm-4pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children. Proceeds benefit Homestead Community Church of God's Church Building for Community Building Program.
We are proud to announce our 5th Annual Hearts & Soles 5K Walk & Run. This event will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2013; registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead. Proceeds will benefit the families that are served by Start Off Smart, Inc. Most importantly, Hearts & Soles will bring awareness to the plight of the victims in our community and raise the much needed funds to assist them.
Come in for an afternoon workshop for kids Valentine's Day cards. Each child will be mass-producing approximately 20 clean and simple Valentine's Day cards for their classmates. Each card will include some simple stamping and a variety of embellishments. Lots of designs to choose from or create your own! Paper, stamps, stickers, ribbons and hearts...
Join Christina in this fun and creative class. You will learn how to apply colored pencils to copper textured pieces, no kiln, or torch required. Learn the process of applying the pencil colors so they will not rub off, then seal in the colors. Attach your colored pieces to a silverbacking using a cold connection method. The cost of the class includes all material needed to make a pair of earrings or a pendant along with deatiled instructions. This class is open to all levels of experience. Another School Project?
Are you tired of running to the store, buying crafting supplies and assisting with completing said project at a pace that (no doubt) would make the Flash blush? Then just come in to Kreative Korners where we have over 100 materials to get the school project done!! Every Thursday night from 6-8pm you can drop your school aged child in to work on or complete their school project! The studio will be quiet and work station set up and you can go home and relax!

The 10th Anniversary 'Havana Nights' Gala is a celebration of 10 years of service for the Miami-based Non-profit, Educate Tomorrow. This year's theme is 'Havana Nights.' There will be cuban food from various local restaurants and a big silent auction featuring cruises, sports tickets and a lot of exclusive wines. The Spam Allstars, a local cuban band, will be playing throughout the night. NBC 6's Jackie Nespral will MC the event.
The event will be co-hosted by the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

Suggested ages for this class are 5 to 16. Be ready to let Casey lead them step by step as they complete their master piece.

Join Christina for a fun creative day making dichoric fused class pendants or earrings. Learn how to cut through dichroic and plain sheet glass using glass cutters, nippers, running pliers and grozier pliers to create your designes. Stack the glass into layers, add some wire or fiber paper between the layers. The pieces with be fired in a small table top digital kiln at a high temperature until the glass fuses together, the firing and cooling down process takes about 3 to 4 hours. Your completed projects will be ready for pick up at the end of the day or they can be mailed to you. The class cost includes all material necessary to complete several pieces and the class is open to all levels of experience. Join Christina at Spark Creativity for a day of fun creating a beautiful enameled flower pendant with a wire stem & vine. Learn how to enamel on copper sheet metal using liquid and dry enamels. Fire your pieces in a kiln two or more times until you get the desired color. Complete your pendant with some copper wire forming the stem & vines. Lean how to wire wrap the ends of a rubber/leather neck cord and creat your own clasp to complete your project.
