The Grove Green Market supports healthy living and encourages sustainable growing practices by bringing local farmers to Coconut Grove. All participating farmers and vendors are located within just 40 miles of the District. In addition to fresh fruits and vegetables, the market will also feature vendors selling local honey, jams, olive oils, artisan breads, grass-fed beef, seafood, spices, and juices.
The Arthur Barron Trio, highly-acclaimed jazz artists, will perform at the new Grove Green Market at the Coconut Grove Playhouse Lot on Thursday, December 12, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Free admission and free parking on Charles Avenue behind the Coconut Grove Playhouse located at 3496 Main Highway.

MCC shares the magic of the holidays in Voices of Angels. The concert will feature all three ensembles of the Miami Children’s Chorus performing holiday favorites and multi-cultural choral pieces representative of many holiday traditions. Voices of Angels beautifully captures the spirit of the holidays, which shines most powerfully when a chorus sings as one! Come and be thrilled by the 150 + voices of the MCC.

Carrfour Supportive Housing, a local nonprofit organization that provides permanent affordable housing and supportive services for formerly homeless families across Miami-Dade County, is hosting a special holiday toy drive this year. Unwrapped gift donations for children of all ages are being collected at Apollo Bank through Thursday, December 19, 2012 and will be given to hundreds of formerly homeless children now living in Carrfour communities with their families.
