Thursday, February 21st, 2013 join us for a food and wine reception as we unite to raise funds for Global Medical Brigades: the world's largest student-led nonprofit organization who works to provide free medications and medical care to rural parts of Panama where 40% of people live under the poverty line. The funds will go to provide the medications and cover costs for local doctors and medical care. Along with providing treatment for Prince, a six-year old boy, who has extra pulmonary tuberculosis and whose parents farm for a living with an average income of $2.00/per day.

The Marlins Foundation today announced Compression for Life, a new program geared to teaching heart health and providing CPR and first aid training to the youth at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami Dade. After saving the life of a young woman who had collapsed with cardiac arrest, Marlins catcher Jeff Urgelles decided to start a CPR class for the kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Miami Dade. Marlins Foundation supported his effort with a $5,000 contribution.

Au pairs live in your home and can work 45 hours a week, cost is $355 per week or $7.88/per hour for any number of children. Au pairs can do light housekeeping as it pertains to the children, their laundry and meal prep for the children. Au pairs can also set up play dates and help with homework. The added bonus is cultural exchange with your family.
