Experience a full day’s worth of fun activities for the whole family including a visit from Santa Claus, a bounce house, an exotic petting zoo, free popcorn and snow cones, holiday-inspired balloons, arts and crafts, and live performances by local school choirs, ballet dancers, and artists. Radio Disney Miami, part of the #1 radio network for kids, tweens and families, will be on-site with the Radio Disney Miami Road Crew from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm with interactive entertainment, fun prizes and giveaways, and the best music from today’s biggest artists. Woodystock is a free benefit concert scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Peacock Park in Coconut Grove. Miami’s own, Cris Cab will headline the event along with other musicians to be named later. Woodystock is a grassroots event for music and art lovers. Along with the concert, local artists and food vendors will round out the event. Proceeds from the concert will benefit The Woody Foundation, a nonprofit organization created to raise funds for the recovery of people with spinal cord injuries. The concert is free; $10 donations are appreciated.

This is a fun family oriented Art & Music Festival celebrating its 9th year in Coconut Grove. The Festival takes place inside The Barnacle Historic State Park which sits on Biscayne Bay in the Grove with entrance located at 3485 Main Highway. Artists will be displaying from Tents on the lawn inside the park and from Tables along the sidewalks of Main Hwy throughout the Grove. There are NO street closures.

The Great Grove Bed Race pits five-person teams pushing home-made beds down Bayshore Drive in a mad capped race to immortality. This year, a portion of the proceeds from the event will go to Dress for Success Worldwide, which is an International non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of woman located in more than 125 cities across 15 countries. They provide professional clothing,. employment retention programs and ongoing support to their clients. There will be prizes, celebrities, plenty of laughs and a good time will be had by all.

The Miami Science Museum Young Patrons group invites young professionals aged 21-45 to join them for a talk with representatives from the San Francisco, Calif.-based branding and design firm Eight Inc. Eight Inc. is creating the flexible furniture system and design for the new Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science.
