On September 12, The South Florida Interactive Marketing Association will present “Sports Rules All Screens,” an expert panel discussion on the explosive growth in sports entertainment streaming across multiple devices. The panel will feature executives from the Miami Dolphins, FOX Sports Media Group and Back9Network, a multimedia lifestyle network for golf lovers. Attendees will learn about the innovative strategies these companies use to attract and retain fans who are increasingly adding second and third screens to view media and entertainment.
Jonathan Schwartz, CEO and co-founder of Bullseye Strategy, a Fort Lauderdale-based digital marketing agency, will moderate the panel. He will be joined by Jeff Husvar, executive vice president and general manager of FOX Sports Media Group; Jim Rushton, chief revenue officer for the Miami Dolphins and Sun Life Stadium; and Carlos Silva, president of Back9Network, a multi-platform golf lifestyle network. These seasoned executives will discuss how FOX Sports is using its proven “challenger” approach to compete with industry leader ESPN; how the Dolphins’ customer loyalty program, the Fin Club, has helped its business; and how an early stage company like Back9Network is partnering with YouTube and USA Today to establish its brand and build an audience.
The event takes place Thursday, September 12 at Horvitz Auditorium at the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale. Networking begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the panel discussion at 7:30 p.m. The event is free for SFIMA members. Non-members pay $39 in advance, $49 at the door.
