The Sunset Tavern Take Over ft. Jim Camacho, The Super Fuzz & The Beethose

January 25 @ 10:00 pm - January 26 @ 2:00 am

| Free

Standout musician and composer Jim Camacho will be performing a set of his original music backed locals The Super Fuzz (who will also be performing a set of originals) and be part of a Beatles tribute band – all in one night come Saturday, January 25, 2014.The host venue is the Sunset Tavern in South Miami and the music begins at 10 p.m.

“I’m a fan of Chris Alvy’s original music,” says Camacho. “He’s been a part of the Beethose project for some time now, so it seemed only fitting to combine a set of his tunes, a set of mine and then have us perform the entirety of Rubber Soul. We’ve learned some new material for the jukebox segment of the Beatles tribute set, so this is a show not to be missed.” The tribute band is known for faithful, note-for-note performances of Beatles recordings; past shows have reproduced The White Album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Let It Be.

Camacho released his latest work, a five-song EP called Everywhere on Forward Motion /Broken Records during the fall of 2013, recently named one of the top albums of the year by the Broward Palm Beach New Times, and is fresh off the South Miami world premiere of Mouse King at the Mandelstam Theater. Mouse King is a musical reworking of The Nutcracker from the mice point of view and featuring master puppeteer Noel MacNeal(Sesame Street, Bear in the Big Blue House, The Great Space Coaster). Jim composed 13 original tracks, recorded the original cast and produced the accompanying CD. The music is available for download at www.MouseKingMusic.com.

The Super Fuzz are Miami-based, have been described as “Scooby Doo meets the BluesBrothers” and released their debut recording Art Noise in 2012. They issued a 2013 holiday single called “A Super Fuzzy Christmas”, which in part compelled music placement agency Jingle Punks to name them among their “Top 21 Jingle Punks of 2013” list.
