Sunny Isles Beach, Aventura and Golden Beach are getting ready for the Relay For Life Kick Off Party on Wednesday, November 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Aventura Hospital Mezzanine.
The Kick Off Party is an opportunity to learn about the upcoming relay, look for survivors to share testimonies, form teams and find volunteers and sponsors for the event. Printed information will be available to all attendees. Those who attend can learn how to get involved.
Relay for Life is an 18-hour event organized by the community and volunteers of the American Cancer Society. Events are held overnight as teams camp out with tents. The purpose of the event is to celebrate cancer survivors, remember the ones we lost to cancer and, most importantly, to raise money to help fight against the disease.
The Relay For Life for Sunny Isles Beach, Aventura and Golden Beach is still looking for enthusiastic people to become part of the committee.
