NHRA drag racer “Fast Jack” Beckman is coming to Miami to share his own cancer survivor story as part of the Chemotherapy: Myths or Facts campaign, aimed at debunking some of the common myths associated with chemotherapy and encouraging patients to take charge of their cancer journeys by speaking to their doctors.

With approximately 650,000 cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in the United States each year, many people feel as though they already know how the disease and treatment will impact them or their loved one.

The campaign also features an interactive video booth that has traveled across the country to collect personal stories of patients and caregivers encouraging them to share myths or facts about chemotherapy they have uncovered during their experience with cancer. Beckman and the video booth will be stopping at Cancer Support Community Greater Miami on the evening of Monday, October 8th.
