Established in 1997, the President’s Excellence in Community Service Award recognizes superior professional engagement activities by a member of the South Florida community. The award encourages the ongoing pursuit of service and exemplifies Nova Southeastern University’s “community” core value.
This year’s event has special significance as NSU celebrates its 50th anniversary.
The Celebration of Excellence signature event, hosted by President Hanbury and the NSU Board of Trustees, will be held on NSU’s main campus in a special venue in front of the Alvin Sherman Library on Feb. 1.
The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Award-winning singer, songwriter and actress Melissa Manchester is scheduled as the featured performer.
Tables are $2,500 and include nine seats, plus a sponsored seat for a student guest. Individual seats are $150 per person and can be obtained online at www.nova.edu/celebrationofexcellence, or by contacting NSU’s Office of Special Events at email@example.com. Proceeds benefit scholarships for students.
