Is Parkinson’s Disease Hereditary?: An educational event series about LRRK2 genetic screening in families of Jewish ancestry

January 13 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

| Free

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) and Stuart Isaacson, M.D. – Medical Director, PD and Movement Disorders Center of Boca Raton –invite you to attend a presentation on developments in Parkinson’s disease (PD) genetic research. The presentation will include information on mutations to the LRRK2 gene which is more common in Jewish people of Eastern European (Ashkenazi) descent with PD than the general population. New data on PD genetics could arm researchers with a whole new set of tools to diagnose and even treat PD earlier, potentially revolutionizing drug development for PD and other neurological disorders. RSVP to learn more about these genetic factors and research updates. Family and friends impacted by PD are encouraged to attend. To RSVP, please log on to www.michaeljfox.org/PDGeneticStudy. For more information, please call 561-392-1818 ext. 6 or email researchpartnerships@michaeljfox.org.
