On Sunday, March 3, at 11:30, SOS will hold their annual Bowling Against Bullying fundraiser at Bird Bowl. This event was created to raise awareness about bullying and violence prevention among our youth. Proceeds have been donated to organizations such as the Melissa Institute, and the Josie Lou Ratley fund.
Sunday, March 10, SOS will also host a garage sale at 12920 SW 69th Avenue, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Member families have donated a wide array of household goods that include furniture, clothing, toys, books, etc.
Students Offering Support (SOS) is a not-for-profit, student run community service organization founded in 2008 by Lily Watkins, and it is comprised of over sixty young men and women from various local schools, public and private. Since inception SOS has made contributions to Kristi House, His House, The Tim Hardaway Foundation, among others.
